MULCAIR, Jeanne Marie Honorine (née Hurtubise)

Jeanne passed away in Saint-Sauveur-des-Monts on January 26, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones at the age of 92.
The daughter of Pierre Hurtubise and Jeanne Mercier, Jeanne was predeceased by her husband Harry Donnelly Mulcair and her son Peter.
She leaves to mourn her children Colleen (Michael), Thomas (Catherine), Jeannie (Marc), Daniel, Deborah, Sheilagh (Richard), Maureen (Miles), Kelly (Greg) and Sean (Kirstin) as well as her 19 grandchildren (Jennifer, Stephanie, Melissa, Matthew, Gregory, Sloane, Meaghan, Sean, Cédrick, Ashley, Nicholas, Catherine, Peter, Michelle, Julie, Kieran, Charlie, Camren and Harry) and her 17 great grandchildren (Emma, Elliot, Henry, Edgar, Juliette, Raphaël, Leonard, Louis, Sterling, Hudson, Benjamin, Abigayle, Izabelle, Harrison, Thomas, Luke and Ella) as well as her brothers Paul et André et her sister Suzel.
Jeanne was an extraordinary mother who adored life and cherished the family she founded together with Harry. They had been together, and in love, since adolescence and a very large family was always part of their plans.
Jeanne was an exceptional woman who loved skiing and would swim in her beloved Laurentian lakes right up until her 90th year. She had a particularly fond attachment to Sainte-Anne-des-Lacs, a town founded by her father.
Jeanne had a very active professional life that included years of teaching at Boys’ Farm in Shawbridge.
The family would like to express its heartfelt thanks to the wonderful team at Résidence Desjardins for the kind and loving friendship and care Jeanne enjoyed during her final years there.
Visitation will take place from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon on Saturday, March 2nd 2024, at the Magnus Poirier Funeral Complex (Les Sentiers cemetery), 2480 Cure-Labelle blvd, Prévost. Funeral will be celebrated at 1:30 pm at St. Sauveur Catholic Church, 205 Principale in St. Sauveur.

Hi Sean, Kirstin, Harry and Camren, I didn't know your mum/grandma very well, but I do recall her always paddling a canoe on the lake. I was unaware that she swam too; bravo! A woman after my own heart. I hope you keep good memories, stories and 'artifacts' (a favourite hat, a watch, etc.) to keep her spirit alive in you. Love, susie
